ESP Capstone Approval Form

This form is used by a department or program seeking to have their own capstone, independent study or advanced program course count for SLO #12 Capstone Integration Credit in the Essential Studies Program.

Approval for FYI TOPICS Courses Form

This form is used by a department or program proposing a specific section for the standing "FYI 169AK Topics in First Year Inquiry" Course (which fulfills 3-6 hours of SLO #1). Each section of this course will focus upon an interdisciplinary issue or theme that students will engage collaboratively and respond to through critical inquiry and creative program solving. Each FYI topics course must be approved by the Essential Studies Program Committee.

Approval for CAP TOPICS Courses Form

This form is used by a department or program proposing a specific section for the standing “CAP 469J Topics In Capstone Integration” Course (which fulfills 3-6 hours of SLO #12). Each section of this course will focus upon a specific issue or theme that students will explore and then respond to producing creative or scholarly projects that integrate their essential studies skills, knowledge and abilities within that exploration. Each capstone topics course must be approved by the Essential Studies Committee.

ESP Outcome Equivalency Form

This form is used by students who wish to petition for ESP transfer credit when they have completed course work from another accredited institution that appears to meet ESP outcomes but does not transfer as such.
